During the spiraling years of 2020 – 2023 Jonathan Binhack crossed the Atlantic Ocean on a sail boat, disappeared for 10 months somewhere south of Great Inagua and resurfaced at the anchorage of the 79th street boat basin in New York City in the summer of ’21.

During the spiraling years of 2020 – 2023 Jonathan Binhack crossed the Atlantic Ocean on a sail boat, disappeared for 10 months somewhere south of Great Inagua and resurfaced at the anchorage of the 79th street boat basin in New York City in the summer of ’21.
In New York he finished his first book Elodinium (published July 2023, only available in German) and sought inspiration in Brooklyn’s DIY music scene. Jonathan went on to spend the freezing winter of 21/22 in Montréal, Canada, where he focused on music and poetry.
In the spring of 2022 he took a Greyhound bus back to New York to record his debut album How To Live Forever, under the guidance of acclaimed musician and producer John Cushing. The album was released via Nuport Music on January 5th 2024.
In support of his debut album Jonathan toured in Germany, the US and Canada in the summer of 2024. He performs solo, as a duo or with a full band. He currently lives in Berlin.
